An 18-year-old worker at the ‘I Jump’ complex in Rishon Lezion was seriously injured after falling from a height of about 8 meters in the complex. The MDA teams that arrived at the scene gave her initial treatment and evacuated her to Sheba-Tel Hashomer Hospital with injuries to her head and limbs. The police began investigating the circumstances of the incident and a representative of the Ministry of Labor was summoned to the scene accordingly.

MDA paramedic Naomi Zvi and MDA emergency medicine medic Ronen Abrahami said: “The injured woman was lying on the floor while she was unconscious and suffering from bruises on her head and limbs. We gave her medical treatment that included immobilization and medication and evacuated her to the hospital when she was in serious condition where she was sedated and ventilated.”

Dr. Tomer Maimon from the neurosurgery department at Sheba commented on the young woman’s condition: “In the evening hours, an 18-year-old young woman came to us as a result of a fall from a height. Due to the medical condition, we decided to euthanize and put her to sleep. After she did a brain CT and it was found that she suffers from a brain injury and her condition is now defined as moderate. After a comprehensive evaluation, I am happy to say that she is now breathing on her own and in light of this, we decided to keep her hospitalized in the neurosurgery department at Sheba.’

This is another case of workers falling from a height after two horrific incidents occurred in their last three days. In Ashkelon, a laborer in his 60s was killed after falling from a height of about ten meters at a construction site, and in Haifa, a 34-year-old laborer was killed after falling from a great height, while apparently engaged in maintenance work in the city.
