“What’s all the commotion at the second hospital?” Some woman called all the services, ran from the police with a car, was caught on Baltų Prospekt”, – on Monday before 8 p.m. a reader reported to the evening news portal “What’s happening in Kaunas”.
On the same evening, the people of Kaunas informed that a person was seen on the roof of LSMU Kaunas Hospital located on Josvainiai Street, and the services allegedly came to rescue him: “The patient was walking on the roof, but when the firefighters arrived, their help was not needed.”
The reader who reported the incident also put together a puzzling sequence of events.
“That woman is involved in all of this. I myself watched the situation when the medics left the hospital and pointed out the car to the police, then two policemen started running towards the car that the woman was driving and she ran away from the officers. Then the officers jumped into their cars and chased after her, catching her on Baltų pr.,” the Kaunian wrote.
As noted on Tuesday in the summary of daily events of the Kaunas Fire Rescue Board, on Monday around 7:46 p.m. a message was received that Josvainių st. an employee climbed onto the roof of the hospital and is possibly going to jump off. Upon arrival, the hospital staff stated that the woman who was on the roof had already got off and left somewhere with the car. Firefighters did not need help, no measures were used.
Kaunas officials also received a report about the worker who climbed onto the roof of the hospital.
“Yesterday at 7:47 p.m. a report was received that an employee climbed onto the roof in Josvainių St., Kaunas. When the officers arrived, it was indicated that the employees persuaded the woman (born in 1969) to get off. After getting off, she left by car. The car was spotted and stopped in Kaunas, Baltų pr., the woman was handed over to the medics for examination”, reads the comment of the representatives of the Kaunas County Chief Police Commissariat.
LSMU Kaunas Hospital is investigating the circumstances
