Less than half a year before the midterm elections, a new poll shows that only 39% of Americans are now satisfied with the president’s performance, and about two-thirds are concerned about economic policy and much-needed aid to Ukraine. Among Democrats: A drop in the percentage of believers that the U.S. is moving in the right direction

Trouble for Biden. 5 months before the US midterm elections, a new poll released over the weekend shows a big drop in the Democratic Party’s 46th President’s support rate.

According to a poll published by the Associated Press, only 39% of U.S. citizens express satisfaction with Joe Biden’s performance, a year and a half after he was elected.

Only two out of ten Americans now believe that the US is moving in the right direction or that the state of the American economy is good, a decline of about 10% from the previous month.

Even within the Democratic Party Biden does not receive support, and today only 33% of Democrats currently believe the US is heading in the right direction, compared to 49% in April. In addition, among Democrats only 73% are satisfied with his performance.

The poll comes at a bad time for the Democratic Party, ahead of the midterm elections in less than six months, in which Americans will elect their representatives to Congress and the Democratic Party may lose the majority in them, both in the Senate and in the House of Representatives.
