Muscat: A young man drowned in Wadi Al Hajar Dam in Ibri Province, Oman. A 20-year-old citizen died. He was rescued and rushed to the hospital but died on the way.
The Civil Defense and Ambulance team from Al Dahira Governorate reached the spot immediately after receiving information that the young man had drowned in the dam. The Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority informed that the young man was rescued and taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but his life could not be saved.

It can be seen in the footage that he deliberately drives the vehicle into the raging water and loses control of the vehicle after going a short distance. Locals of the area immediately came to the scene and rescued the youth. The vehicle was later taken into custody by the Royal Oman Police.
