A couple had gone for a walk to the San Clemente River, in Córdoba, to enjoy the first hot days of the season and ended with a desperate search.

The young man, named Juan Pablo Ruarte, went swimming and at one point his engagement ring came off, which, as he explained, was a little too big for him.

He quickly told his fiancée, Lourdes Corominas, and together they began searching for the place where he had fallen. However, after several passes, there were no good results.

The couple left resigned for not having found it, but with the certainty that they would return to look for it. “That was on Saturday and on Monday Luli told me ‘get ready, we’re going to go on Saturday.’ “She suffered with each passing day,” Juan Pablo said in statements to El Doce TV.

Finally, on Saturday they went again with a lot of energy and will to achieve the objective: “The day came and we hunted everything: snorkel, hose, frog legs. “It seemed like we were going to the beach.”

When they told their friends, they all told them that it was impossible to find it. Ruarte even acknowledged that for him it was “looking for a needle in a haystack.” In any case, something gave them hope: the area they had gone to was quiet and did not have so many people visiting.

The couple, who live in Alta Gracia, went into the water and began to remove some stones from the place where they believed he could have fallen. “After 15 minutes I found it, but I didn’t show it to him,” admitted the boy who wanted to add suspense to the story. However, a few minutes later, Corominas saw him with the ring in his hand and they melted into an emotional hug.

“It was very nice, it was a sign, one more of many,” he said and assured that now he will reduce it to avoid a new loss. In that sense, something that caught his attention is that after the discovery, a couple passed by that place and commented that they had experienced a similar situation: they had also lost a ring there. “It must be something from that place,” she commented with a laugh. Now we just have to wait for April 27, 2024, the date they chose to celebrate their wedding.
