Her auditors imposed a two-day lockout and a fine AADE in a well-known restaurant in Mykonos, as he was found not to cut receipts, eleven in number and with a total value of more than 7,000 euros.
In particular, the auditors of the Independent Public Revenue Authority found the violation in the Mykonian business, in Agia Anna, and proceeded with the procedures: Fine and lockout for two days.
The owner’s reaction
There, however, they met the owner’s reaction: At first, he had his legal advisor argue that he cannot enter a lock, because a hotel also operates under the same VAT number. However, he failed to say that the hotel is a separate and distinct facility.
Then, he tried to give publicity, with the argument of defamation of the tourist product. After failing, he finally tried to show that at the time the lock was to be opened – that is, today at noon – customers entered the restaurant and, thus, the sealing of the premises should be suspended.
Finally, and with the assistance of the police, the facility was sealed by AADE inspectors, as required by law.
In addition, following the specific violations, the company will be audited as a matter of priority both for its declared income and for VAT, based on what is provided for in the relevant decision.
