In this case, it is claimed that 24 money laundering cases have been registered against the victim woman. In exchange for ending the case registered against the victim woman, a demand of Rs 80 lakh is made, which is transferred to a special bank account. After this the scammer disappears. In this way, information about the fraud is received.

How to find out if a fake SIM is linked to Aadhaar

If someone claims that a fake SIM is linked to your Aadhaar, then there is no need to panic, because the government provides an online facility, with the help of which users can find out online from home, which SIM cards are issued on their SIM cards. If you feel that there is a fake SIM linked, you can complain against it.

You can find out the SIM card issued on your Aadhaar card from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT)’s Sanchar Sathi portal to find out how many and which SIM cards are linked to your Aadhaar.

  • For this, first of all you have to go to the Sanchar Saathi portal.
  • After this you will see many options in the Citizen Centric Service section.
  • From this you will have to click on Know Your Mobile Connections (TAFCOP) option.
  • Then you will have to enter 10 digit mobile number and captcha code.
  • Then a 6 digit OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, which will have to be entered to verify and then tap on the Login option.

You will be able to block fake sim

  • After this a new page will open, where there will be details of the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
  • Here you will see three options. Out of these, you can lodge a complaint against fake mobile number by clicking on Not My Number. After this, the SIM card linked to your Aadhaar will be deactivated.
