Hyderabad: Former Indian captain Virat Kohli regained his Asia Cup form against Australia in the final match of the T20 series. Kohli has overtaken current coach and legend Rahul Dravid to become the second highest run scorer in international cricket for Team India.

Going into the T20 series against Australia, Virat Kohli was only 63 runs away from becoming the second highest run scorer for India in international cricket. Rahul Dravid was just ahead of King with 24064 runs. Kohli scored only 2 and 11 in the first two T20Is. But Kohli’s half-century in the third T20 took his tally to 24078. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 34357 runs. Virat Kohli has scored 8074 runs in 102 Tests, 12344 runs in 262 ODIs and 3660 runs in 104 T20Is.

Virat Kohli scored a half-century as India won the third T20 against Australia by six wickets to clinch the series 2-1. India chased down the target of 187 runs by four wickets in 19.5 overs. Kohli scored 63 runs off 48 balls with three fours and four sixes. Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 69 runs off 36 balls with five fours and a six, controlled the pace of the Indian innings. Hardik Pandya finished with an unbeaten 25 off 16 balls.

Earlier, Cameron Green, who scored 52 runs off 21 balls, Tim David, who scored 54 runs off 27 balls, and Daniel Sams, who scored 28* runs off 20 balls, brought the Aussies to the best score. Axar Patel dismissed three.
