Abanca has created an extraordinary line of credit with 200 million euros to deal with the emergency situation that the countryside is experiencing in Castilla y León due to the significant drought that the region has been suffering for weeks. Through this amount, the bank provides farmers and ranchers that are part of the Central Union of Barrios de Luna and the Ferduero Association of Irrigation Communities of the Duero Basin, with a wide catalog of products adapted to their particular needs.

The respective agreements were signed this morning in León by the territorial director of Abanca in Castilla y León/Asturias-Cantabria, Marcos Lamas, and the president of the Ferduero Association of Irrigation Communities of the Duero Basin and the Central Union of the Reservoir of the Barrios de Luna, Ángel González Quintanilla.

The agreements also contemplate personal loans for irrigation communities and their community members, furniture leasing, loans for tax advances, subsidies and campaign expenses or CAP advances, as well as the new multi-destination Abanca Agro financing lines and others solutions such as the official financing alternatives of the ICO, Saeca and the Centralized Management Financial Instrument of the Ministry. In addition, the members of both groups, which represent a large majority of farmers and ranchers in Castilla y León, will be able to access the Abanca Services Program, which offers a series of advantages, such as savings in the payment of the most common banking services.
