/ Abbas Obaid and his assistant officially submitted their resignation from coaching Erbil Club due to the financial crisis that the club is going through and the non-payment of three months of his salary in addition to 25% of his contract.

Obaid told Agency, “I thank the administration and the fans of the ancient club, but here my journey with Erbil Club ended due to non-payment of my late financial dues due to the financial hardship that the club is going through, which led to non-payment of the dues of the players, my dues, and the dues of the assistants.”

Assistant Hossam Fawzi and fitness coach Sardar Mohamed also formally resigned from coaching the team for the same reasons.

Obaid thanked the Erbil fans for supporting him throughout his leadership of the team and wished better luck with the team’s new coach.

Deidar Hamed, a member of the Erbil administration, told the agency that coach Abbas Obaid submitted his resignation to the administration today, as well as his assistant Hossam Fawzi, and fitness coach Sardar Muhammad.

He added that the administration does not stand in the way of their will and wishes them success, pointing out that the administration is going through a financial crisis and it will be resolved soon.
