Mohammad Abdur Rauf
Additional Project Director (Additional Secretary) Mohammad Abdur Rauf has been appointed Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the company that manages Metrorail in the capital. The Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges has canceled the contractual appointment of MAN Chiddik, who was previously the MD of DMTCL.
On Monday (September 9), a notification issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges canceled the contractual appointment of MAN Chidik. Later, in another office order, Mohammad Abdur Rauf was given the current charge of MD.
MAN Chiddik became the Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges on 3 September 2014. He was in this position till October 11, 2017. After his retirement, he was contractually appointed as the MD of DMTCL by the government. He joined Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Cadre in 1983.
Abdur Rauf, who has been appointed as the MD of DMTCL, was previously the company secretary of DMTCL. He was then assigned as Additional Project Director of MRT 5.
