Abita 2021, the online home fair: 50 events, 70 exhibitors and augmented reality presentations

by time news

Over 70 exhibitors from the home world will meet from Monday 22nd to Sunday 28th March online for the 2021 edition of Abita, the sector fair conceived by Sicrea that should have debuted in 2020. The first event therefore remains virtual even if the organizers let it be known that for 2022 it will be in attendance. Furniture and design are the sectors to which the companies present belong which by going to the website www.abitafirenze.it and www.fiera365.it it will be possible to know thanks to digital catalogs and brochures but also to interviews with specialized personnel available for online meetings.

Nothing can replace face-to-face fairs and we can’t wait to get back to organizing them – says Maurizio Izzo, Sicrea communication manager – but this long period of forced stop has taught us that there are opportunities that we must seize today and that will help us tomorrow to make the investment necessary for the organization of a trade fair more profitable. In this sense, this edition of Abita is a laboratory to develop a series of tools that bring companies closer to people. Augmented reality, the ability to access multimedia content through a smartphone, the ability to establish a relationship with business professionals are all things that will also serve us tomorrow. Thanks to the consultancy made available by the companies, it will be possible to learn how to make a vertical garden or to make the house more energy efficient, but also to consult an interior designer.

The options made available to digital visitors to the fair include augmented reality content: product insights, company videos, photo galleries and links to exhibitor sites. There is also a rich calendar of events at Abita Fuori Salone which includes two appointments a day that will include interior design, photography and climate change. Also present was the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence with a seminar on energy efficiency that will also allow the release of training credits (Monday 22 at 2.30 pm), the Italian Interior Designers Association will present a free webinar on “interior design & home staging (Thursday 25 at 18.00). On the other hand, the city planning and environment councilor of the Municipality of Florence, Cecilia del Re, will speak about cities and climate change but also about the opportunities that Florence can offer in terms of smart working during a meeting scheduled for the closing of the event on Sunday 28 March at 10.00.
