The present government is going to conduct upazila elections as well as the dummy 12th national elections on January 7. BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed commented that this election will be a dummy election like the national election.
He said these things while distributing leaflets calling for the boycott of upazila elections at Bailey Road in the capital on Sunday (May 5).
Rizvi said, currently the people of the country cannot vote. Cannot make representatives of their choice. So they don’t go to vote. This situation of the country has been created by the current government that has seized power in the current dummy elections. They are doing these things to stay in power of this country forever, to rob banks and to launder thousands of crores of rupees.
He said that after the dummy election on January 7, the Sheikh Hasina government is again selecting upazilas in the same way. This election will also be a dummy election, because the candidates of any democratic political party in the country are not participating in this election.
At this time, he called on all the people of the country and said that you will not participate in the dummy election under this dummy government. All those who are present here are residents of one or the other upazila, none of you will participate in this dummy election.
