Mexico City: Thousands marched in protest against the country’s legalization of abortion. Thousands of people came out with slogans and placards under the leadership of the anti-abortion movement in Latin America against the Supreme Court order that abortions can be performed up to 12 weeks in nine of Mexico’s 32 states.
Protesters said they were marching for women, the right to life and peace, and that trying to legalize abortion was unfair. It was a defense of unborn children. Protesters also pointed out that they don’t have a voice, but they do have rights.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court ruled in September 2021 that punishing abortion is unconstitutional.
