Last October, the Government Delegation of the Generalitat in Girona organized ana first meeting between economic agents and managements of centers of professional training to bring together the needs of the labor market and the offer of professional training that is in the territory.
As part of the Professional Training Impulse table, it was agreed to continue this first meeting by encouraging the interrelationship between centers and agents in specific meetings organized by sector. A commitment was made to plan the first four meetings before the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
The sectors worked on in these first days were metal, construction and installations, agri-food and hospitality and tourism. The meetings have been held in various centers of the Vegueria: the Josep Brugulat Institute in Banyoles, the La Garrotxa Institute in Olot, the Agricultural and Food School in Monells and the Hospitality School in Lloret de Mar.
The attendees at the conference, about 200 in total and between 40 and 50 in each of them, represent different sectors: educational, social and economic. «The debate spaces between the participants have made it possible to detect which aspects need to be worked on in the short, medium and long term to improve the current situation of each of the sectors», detail from the Generalitat.
According to the Government, the objective of the Professional Training Impulse Table in the Girona counties is to promote professional training in the demarcation with a Girona perspective, establishing a dialogue and joint work between the agents involved.
