In St. Petersburg, an uncoordinated rally against the military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, which took place on Sunday, February 27, was attended by 2 to 3 thousand people, according to a Kommersant-SPb correspondent. Several hundred people were detained.

The action began at 16:00 at Gostiny Dvor, then the protesters dispersed around the city center in several columns. Throughout the event, the police and riot police carried out arrests, including hard ones. According to OVD-Info (recognized in Russia by the media as a foreign agent), at least 814 people ended up in police stations. The most severe detentions took place near Smolny, where some of the protesters went.

The action was the fourth in a row and the largest in St. Petersburg since the start of the military operation in Ukraine.
