About 37,000 people were left without electricity in Crimea due to bad weather, said the head of the region Sergey Aksenov in his Telegram channel.

“Due to strong gusts of wind, according to Krymenergo, about 37,000 people are without electricity. Work is being carried out around the clock to restore power supply, ”the message says.

To eliminate the consequences of bad weather, specialists and appropriate equipment were involved, he added.

“It is expected that in a few hours the wind will subside, but tomorrow the wind is expected to increase again. The situation is under special control. But in such conditions, there is a high probability of emergencies, injuries, “- said Aksenov.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned of possible emergencies due to hurricane winds in Crimea. Due to strong gusts of wind, Simferopol, nearby villages and three villages of Alushta were left without electricity. In addition, the hurricane wind blew up 800 sq. m fire in reed thickets near two shopping centers and a gas station.
