After all, no one is forcing Audrone to photograph Birštonas, his flowers, birds and the tiniest beetles waking up in the mornings. Gets up and goes. So that she not only sees it herself, but also shows others how beautiful our Birštonas is.
How many times could Aušra put down her hands and accept the fact that she could no longer help the sick. He doesn’t get along, year after year he carefully follows medical innovations, looks for new ways of rehabilitation, just to put a person on his feet. And the power of the warmth of her heart. And all this simply because the profession is a vocation.
After all, not because of awards, not because someone tells her to, Jurgita and her family continue the hot air balloon flight started by her father, not only over Lithuania – over the skies of the whole world! The name of Birštonas flies high and far.
Have the applauded honorees improved? It didn’t get better. They only became even more people of Birštonas, because the smiles and flowers of the congratulators are not only a thank you – they are also an obligation.
PS The celebration of February 16 in Biršton was really nice and warm. It’s as if the borders of parties, positions and ranks have been erased. And how you will not repeat the words of Antanas: I am glad that I live in Biršton, I like living here. And we know very well that when we love, we do a lot without pay or rewards.
