Abu Dhabi: An awareness campaign on the dangers of cybercrime has been launched in Abu Dhabi. The event is organized by Masoolia of the Abu Dhabi Department of Law under the theme ‘Be Safe’. The objective of the scheme is to ensure the safety and security of the public.
The campaign will continue till the end of November.More than 30 lectures will be held in schools and universities and through various media and social media platforms. Parents will be educated on how to protect their children from cyber crime so that they do not become perpetrators or victims.
Awareness will also be given on the causes and factors leading to electronic fraud, the risks of misusing social networking sites and the legal responsibility of users accordingly.
The program is being organized by the Department of Education and Science in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with universities, media and government agencies, in accordance with the instructions of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court and Chairman.
