Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police should ensure the safety of children while traveling in vehicles. Do not leave children alone in vehicles. The police informed that children under the age of 10 should have a child seat in the car.

Abu Dhabi: The Indian Embassy in UAE has warned that some fake social media handles and e-mail addresses are being used to mislead expatriates and extort money. The embassy has released a notification in this regard through social media.

Attempts to defraud expatriates are made using the Twitter handle @embassy_help and the email address [email protected]. These fraud groups extort money from expatriates by offering travel tickets from UAE to India. An official notification issued by the embassy says that the Indian Embassy has no association with such Twitter handles or e-mail addresses and should be vigilant against scams.

The official e-mail addresses, Twitter handle, Facebook ID and telephone numbers of the embassy are published on the official website of the embassy. These should be checked and messages from fake IDs should be identified, said the notice issued by the embassy. Email addresses of Indian diplomatic missions abroad shall end with the domain @mea.gov.in.

@IndembAbuDhabi is the only official Twitter handle of Indian Embassy in UAE. The notification also says that expatriates should be cautious about messages they receive on behalf of the embassy or its staff.
