The Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Abu Mazen, is giving a speech at this time to the UN General Assembly, and clarifies in response to Lapid’s words that he does not believe in a two-state solution. Watch the live broadcast:

“I speak to them on behalf of more than 14 million Palestinians whose ancestors and forefathers experienced the terrible Nakba 74 years ago and they are still living the results of this Nakba which is a humiliation for all humanity, especially for those who committed this terrible crime,” Abu Mazen said.

The chairman of the Authority continued: “More than five million Palestinians lived under the Palestinian occupation for more than 54 years. I want to tell you today on behalf of the Palestinians that our confidence in our ability to achieve peace is deteriorating. Do you want to suffocate the hope we have?”

Abu Mazen emphasized as stated that he no longer believes in peace: “Israel, which ignores international decisions, has decided not to be a partner for peace. It has undermined the Oslo Accords, it is destroying the 2-state solution. This proves that Israel does not believe in peace. Israel believes in enforcing the status quo. That is why we do not have More of a partner.”

Israel provides protection to Jewish terrorists while they drive Palestinians from their homes. Price tag organizations, Lahava and many others. These organizations are led by Knesset members. We call on the international community to define these organizations as terrorist organizations.”

In addition, of course, Abu Mazen mentioned the case of the death of an Al-Jazeera journalist: “Israel killed the journalist Shireen Abu Aqla on purpose with sniper fire. I call for Israel to be prosecuted for this crime.”

After that, Abu Mazen moved to accusations against Israel, claiming that it is responsible for the massacre and deportation of Palestinians: “Since Israel was established, it has committed terrible crimes against our people. When they destroyed 529 Palestinian villages and deported the inhabitants. Since the 1948 war and after that, they deported 950 thousand Palestinians, contrary to – 250 thousand that Israel claims, since then they have become millions.

Since then, Israel has committed over 50 massacres. Some of them have been done recently. Israel admitted that it committed these acts on purpose. The last of them was against Gaza, on which rockets were fired. I don’t want to say how many old men they killed, but the New York Times said that 57 children were killed in Gaza. We ask the international community to prosecute them.”

Finally, Abu Mazen emphasized again that there is not and will not be an agreement between the parties: “The agreements we signed in 1993 are no longer valid because Israel is violating them. Until when will we be the only ones who keep these agreements? Therefore, it is our responsibility to find other ways to reach peace, including carrying out Decisions that our parliament decided upon. The Palestinian Authority will join other international organizations.”
