The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced a new tournament to promote women’s cricket and eliminate gender inequality. In the executive meeting of the ACC held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, outgoing president Jai Shah announced the organization of the ‘Women’s U-19 T20 Asia Cup’ for women after two years. Who will take charge as the president of ICC from December 1.

Basically, the initiative of organizing this tournament has been taken to provide an opportunity for the budding women cricketers of Asia to gain experience and better preparation to compete and perform on the international stage. It may be noted that the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup was organized for the first time last year. ACC has decided to organize the U-19 Women’s T20 Asia Cup to prepare age-appropriate women cricketers for this tournament.
