Pathanamthitta: Accident involving two cars in Atur. A car traveling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur collided with a car coming from the opposite direction. Rajasekhara Bhattathiri, a native of Attingal, and his wife Shobhana, who were in the car coming from Thiruvananthapuram, died. Vasudeva Bhattathiri’s son Nikhilraj was seriously injured. He was taken to Kottayam Medical College.

Four passengers in the oncoming car were injured. Their injuries are not serious. The accident took place near Pudusherrybhag around 6.30 am on Wednesday. The front end of both vehicles was completely damaged in the accident.

The citation was given when the bar owner discovered the change in the bill. Ajmal, Atul, Yasim, Amit, Dhanesh, Vishnu and Amal, natives of Kattur, were arrested in connection with the incident. The police recovered the car they were traveling in.

The bar owner Krishnaraj and his friends were attacked at around 9:30 on Tuesday night. There was a problem between the staff and the bar owner for a few days after an irregularity was found in the bar’s bill. Baiju and his friend Ananthu came to the bar after Krishnaraj called him to talk about this the other day. In the meantime, the quotation group assigned by an employee reached the bar under the pretense of drinking.

Quotation group attacked the bar owner and the staff while they were talking. Krishnaraj, Baiju and Ananthu were stabbed and injured by the gang. But Baiju was killed on the spot. Krishnaraj was seriously injured in the attack. Krishnaraj was admitted to a hospital in Kochi. Ananthu was shifted to a hospital in Thrissur.

The murder took place in a bar that had opened ten days ago. The bar owner had reprimanded some of the employees for falsifying the bill. There was an argument about this the other day. This is why the bar owner called Baiju and Ananthu. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
