Chennai: Prominent racer K.E. was killed in an accident during a car race at the Madras International Circuit. A tragic end for Kumar.

The incident took place on Sunday morning during the second round of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India-Madras Motors Sports Club Saloon Car Racing Championship. The 59-year-old Kumar’s car went out of control, skidded off the track, hit another car and crashed into a wall. He was immediately admitted to the hospital but could not be saved.

The Madras Motors Sports Club suspended yesterday’s races as a mark of respect to Kumar, who was a life member.
