An accident hit and ran in Samaria. A 6-year-old boy was run over to death by a concrete truck in the town of Emanuel. He was fatally wounded and was taken to hospital after resuscitation. Subsequently as aforesaid, his unfortunate death was determined. The truck driver fled the scene and was located after police scans.
Ziv Avraham, a paramedic from the Rescue Union, said: “According to passers-by, the boy was hit by a truck. With the help of other paramedics who were nearby, we performed resuscitation operations there.”
Isaiah Eichler, another paramedic from the Rescue Union, added: “After the resuscitation operations at the scene, he was taken to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba in a critical condition while resuscitation operations continued.
A senior MDA medic, Eliyahu Zohar, said: “The boy was lying unconscious on the road suffering from a multi-system injury after being hit by a truck. We immediately performed medical tests on him, saw that he had no pulse and no breathing and began to perform advanced resuscitation operations on him, which included massages, resuscitation and medication, and evacuated him in an intensive care unit to the hospital while continuing to perform resuscitation operations when his condition was critical. “
The police said: “An initial report at the police station received a report of a hit-and-run car accident in the town of Emanuel. According to the report, a concrete truck hit a 6-year-old boy and left the scene. The truck was located at a construction site in a locality near the scene of the accident. The driver was detained by the police and the circumstances of the accident are being investigated by traffic inspectors. “
Meir Hospital, to which the boy is being treated, said: “Recently, a 6-year-old boy was rushed to the emergency room by a 6-year-old boy with no signs of life with severe multi-system injury, following a car accident in Emanuel.
Despite multiple resuscitation efforts that included advanced resuscitation operations by many teams, no signs of life returned and the team was forced to determine his death. We share the family’s heavy grief. “
