The early hours of Saturday in the area of La Palma, Arroyo Naranjo, in Havana, were marked by a traffic accident that directly involved a Moskvitch vehicle, a motorcycle and a police patrol.
According to eyewitness statements, the incident took place when a Moskvitch driver, under the influence of alcohol and at excessive speed, collided with the rear of the police car, which in turn hit the motorcycle.
The report of this accident was shared in the Facebook group “BUS & TRUCK ACCIDENTS, for more experience and fewer victims”, also accompanied by images of the event.
Unfortunately, recklessness on the streets of Havana has been a topic of growing concern for the community, as these types of events occur with increasing frequency.
Frank Rodríguez, one of the Internet users who commented on the event, expressed his opinion on the matter: “Very sad, today there are many accidents due to negligence, many drivers, almost all private individuals spend their time drinking in bars and the police do not act against these people”.

Another citizen, Yasmanis Sablon, joined the lamentations over the lack of preventive actions. “I agree with the previous comment, the police do not act as they should here in Havana, mainly in the bars crowded with drivers who come out in a state of intoxication and they act as if it were not with them. So until when, look at the result, that one was flying”he stated.
On the island, accidents continue to represent one of the main causes of death, whether due to reckless drivers, vehicle damage or poor road conditions.
It is also clear that, like all problems, the authorities are not interested in the slightest, with the citizen being the one who pays for all the losses.
