A one and a half year old boy died after drinking kerosene at a relative’s house in Chavara, Kollam. Aarush, son of Unnikrishna Pillai and Reshma, died in a small house in Chenchery inside Chavara fort. The boy had arrived at Unnikrishnan’s brother’s house in Payyalakavu with his parents at 5 pm on Sunday.
The boy, who used to drink water from time to time, was drinking kerosene from a bottle in the kitchen inside the house .Arush was rushed to private hospitals in Chavara and Karunagapally. He was rushed to a private medical college hospital in Kollam. But died at seven-thirty. The body is in the District Hospital Mortuary. Aishwarya is a sister.
Suicide | Prohibits mobile phone overuse; Tenth grade student commits suicide
Kollam: A 10th class student committed suicide after being banned from using a mobile phone. The deceased has been identified as Shivani (15), a resident of Kollam. Shivani was found hanging inside the house yesterday evening.
The boy was hanged after entering a room inside the house after being verbally abused in connection with his mobile phone use. Kollam West police have registered a case of unnatural death in the incident.
