Dubai: A glider pilot died in an accident while paragliding in Dubai. Reports say that the glider crashed while flying. The General Civil Aviation Authority said that the Air Accident Investigation Division has started an investigation into the incident.

The incident took place in the Sky Dive Club area of ​​Dubai Margam. An amateur glider with a paramotor engine crashed while flying. According to a report released by the UAE’s official news agency, the deceased pilot is a South African national.

Last week, a small plane crashed in the UAE and one person was injured. The small plane crashed in the parking area outside the Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque on Wednesday. One person was injured in the incident. The investigation by the authorities is in progress.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the single-engine Cessna Caravan aircraft crashed. According to reports, the plane that was flying to land at the Al Bateen Private Airport in Abu Dhabi crashed due to a technical problem. The pilot on board was injured. But local media reports that his injuries are not serious.

The plane crashed in an uninhabited area. Therefore, there was no other damage. The pilot was immediately admitted to the hospital. Officials from the UAE National Search and Rescue Centre, the Abu Dhabi Police General Command and the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority reached the spot and ensured the safety of the area.
