Natan Levy is the Israeli (32) who was found last week lifeless in a hotel room in India. This was announced by the Israeli Foreign Ministry on Friday. According to a preliminary investigation, a paid local guide arrived at the hotel to pick him up for the trip – and found him dead in his room.
The local police said that the death was apparently caused by natural causes, and no criminal acts are suspected. The tragic incident took place at the Sherpa Shela Hotel in Sandakpo, in the West of the state of Bengal, close to the border with Nepal – a popular area for travelers from around the world.

We received the last photos of him the evening before his death. He climbed the Himalayas in the north He went to India with a guide, and climbed to an altitude of 3,500 meters. After that, they returned to the hotel, and after dinner Nathan went to rest. In the morning, the guide came to wake him up to take him for the rest of the trip – and he found him dead with an open book next to the bed.”
“An autopsy is being performed on him to check what he died of. We only know through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that they are handling the flight of his body, he had insurance and will be flown to Israel in the coming days.
