Policyholders will experience an increase in their complementary health insurance “around 10%” in 2024, and not 8.1% as announced by the French Mutualité, according to an estimate on Tuesday January 23 from the consumer defense association UFC Que Choisir.
To establish its assessment, the Mutuality reasoned “at constant age”, without taking into account the fact that policyholders move into a higher age bracket each year, therefore moving to a higher rate, explains Que Choisir. Management fees too high
Basically, the consumer association denounces in particular management fees which vary “enormously” between complements, which range from «10%» contributions collected for the Pro BTP mutual «28%» for the insurance broker and wholesaler April.
