A large-scale police operation at the Vienna Danube Center (DZ) four days after reopening after the lockdown caused a stir on Thursday afternoon. At around 3:30 p.m. the emergency number was dialed and it was announced that a man had fired a gun in the air in front of the shopping center. A large contingent of the emergency services raced to the shopping center in the 22nd district (Donaustadt) and found the cases of a blank gun. “We are therefore not assuming any direct risk to people,” wrote the police on Twitter.
