Consumers hear about measures and reductions but in reality they are seeing food prices make a real assault on their wallets.

In “Lernaia Hydra” the battle with precision is evolving as the measures may have worked and the prices may have fallen for some products, but they have increased for others which are also basic necessities.

The battle with precision is a daily occurrence at supermarket checkouts and consumers who hear about measures and reductions are seeing food prices make a real assault on their wallets.

According to ELSTAT, the champion in the price rally is olive oil, the price of which has increased in the last year by 63%.

Fruits with price increases of 12.3%, fish increased by 9.7%, vegetables are more expensive by 6.5% and meat by 4.8%.

It actually increased by 1%. 800g baby milk on 1 plus one offer, had the same price on 24th February and 6th March. While, baby diapers in a package of 44 pieces, reduced just 10 minutes.
