A security investigation by the National Unit for Serious and International Crime Investigations (Yachbal) in Lahab 433 led to an indictment against the accused, a 49-year-old resident of Shiloh, who had received AML parts in the mail from the USA, using them to assemble weapons.

As part of an investigation conducted in the last two months by Yahabal in cooperation with the Shin Bet and the Tax Authority, it emerged that the accused contacted his mother, who lives in the state of Oregon in the USA, with a request that she send him weapons by mail – among them: the barrel of a Glock pistol with an adapter for screwing A silencer, two empty cartridges, a laser sight, gun sights and other means.

Upon the arrival of the requested shipment at the post office, which included parts for assembling a weapon similar to a Glock type pistol, eight empty cartridges and another cartridge suitable for an M16 rifle, the Yahabal police carried out an operation during which the suspect was arrested at his home.

After a search of his house, a gun was seized, including a Glock pistol that the suspect assembled with the parts he had using a laser printer, weapon parts, three cartridges full of live bullets and another 155 bullets in bulk.

Today (Tuesday) an indictment was filed against the defendant by the Central District Attorney’s Office, for possession of weapons, manufacture of weapons, importation of weapons, possession of weapon accessories and ammunition.

His detention was extended until another decision.
