Odisha’s popular singer Ruksana Banu died in the hospital while undergoing treatment. He breathed his last at AIIMS Hospital, Bhubaneswar on the night of September 18. He was 27 years old.
Quoting hospital sources, NDTV reported that Ruksana Banu was being treated for scrub typhus. This artist died on Wednesday night. However, the hospital authorities have not yet announced the cause of death.
However, Ruksana’s mother and sister alleged that Ruksana was killed by poisoning by a singer from West Odisha. However, they did not reveal his name. They mentioned this singer as Ruksana’s rival. They also alleged that he had threatened Ruksana a few days ago.
Ruksana’s sister Ruby Banu said, ‘Ruksana had juice while shooting a song 15 days ago. Then he fell ill. Ruksana was admitted to a hospital in Bhavanipatna on August 27.
Referring to the deterioration of Ruksana’s physical condition, Ruby Banu said, ‘After initial treatment, she was referred to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir. When his physical condition deteriorated there, he was shifted to a private hospital in Bargarh. Ruksana was taken to AIIMS hospital in Bhubaneswar as the condition did not improve there either.
