Although his offensive flashes – including a recent career-high 33 points and a franchise-record 19 three-point attempts against the Milwaukee Bucks – initially grabbed headlines, the Utah Jazz rookie is evolving into a more complete player, impacting the game on both ends of the court. That well-rounded performance was on full display Saturday night, even in a 126-116 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, where Bailey tied for the game-high with 25 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, but it was his defensive prowess that truly stood out.

Like, his ability to cover ground and close out his ability to guard the ball…I truly believe that he’s grown more on the defensive side of the ball than he has offensively.”

I might be a considerable,” adding that he’s already playfully competing with teammates Jusuf Nurkić and Walker Kessler. “With the team we’re looking to have, being a defender, it’s gonna be a very big role, especially if you wanna stay on the court, and if you wanna win you’ve got to, and I seek to win, so I have to play offense and defense,” Bailey explained.
