Acer has announced an update to the TravelMate P6 and TravelMate Spin P6 family of business notebooks.
According to the company, both models will receive a 14-inch IPS display with FHD + resolution (1920×1200 pixels), the viewing angle of which can be adjusted from 170 ° to 90 ° for privacy during work. The Spin version will receive a touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a convertible body that allows you to turn your laptop into a tablet.
The TravelMate P6 and TravelMate Spin P6 will be certified according to the military MIL-STD 810H standard for operation in extreme conditions. It is stated that laptops will be able to withstand impacts and falls due to the chassis made of magnesium-aluminum alloy, and the keyboard and touch screen will be protected from moisture and high temperatures.
For the new Acer, an Intel Core i7 vPro processor, up to 32 GB of RAM and a solid-state drive with a capacity of up to 1 TB are available. Laptops are equipped with a built-in fingerprint scanner and an infrared webcam with facial recognition. The devices will receive support for Wi-Fi 6 and 5G, will be equipped with an NFC module, as well as slots for microSD memory cards and various ports for connections.
