Al-Kahraba football coach, Wali Karim, confirmed that the draw result in the team’s first journey in the new season does not meet the ambition, pointing out that achieving a point from Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya or any popular team is a great gain.
Karim told the (INA) today, Monday: “Our match against Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya was difficult by all standards, as it is a team full of stars and the runner-up of the previous season and is participating in the AFC Champions League competitions in addition to its readiness for the league competition.”
Karim said, “The Electricity team went through abnormal administrative circumstances, the most important of which was our inability to add professional players to strengthen the team’s ranks, but with the players’ tremendous efforts on the field, we were a strong competitor to Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and we were able to obtain a valuable point despite the team’s ambition to achieve full points at the beginning of the local journey, but achieving a point from Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya or any popular team is a great gain.”
Karim added, “The team was able to close the areas where the opponent was moving, which gave us many opportunities that would have been translated into goals if we had been focused, in addition to the clear shortage on the substitutes’ bench.”
