Sindhu Manu Varma is the actor who came in front of the camera as a child actor in the Malayalam movie ‘Varshanar Poyathariathe’. ‘Sudha Appachi’, who has become a favorite of Malayali after many years, is now the star. Sindhu was in front and behind the camera for many years. Sindhu got into acting by playing the childhood of actress Menaka. Later, he acted in many films, but all of them were in supporting roles. Even though Sindhu has many serials and short films in her account, the Malayalees have accepted the star as ‘Sudha Appachi’ in Santhvanam.
Sindhu has now told an incident that changed her life. Sindhu says that she was away from the screen for a long time and feels sad every time she remembers it. The actor has two children, son Giridhar Verma and daughter Srigauri. My daughter has been in a wheel chair since she was born. Although the daughter is fourteen years old, she cannot stand or speak on her own. It is due to some neuro problems in the brain. Sindhu’s voice stutters even as she says that she is all his prayers and hopes.
“When my daughter was born, there was a small fluid build-up on her brain. Two major surgeries have been performed. Everyone has been devastated since learning that her daughter is sick, and she is still bedridden and in a wheelchair. He was taken to many places in India and treated but with no results. Around Rs 1500 per day is required for her treatment. The only hope is that the doctors said that a miracle would happen. At one point I was afraid to even see people. It was Manuvettan who said that there was a need for a change from that and did a lot for it. The main thing was to get rid of depression.. and with it the thought of income. It is in that situation that he comes back to the cinema. I am saddened to hear what many people are saying about my daughter. Many people have even asked why this is happening because of this. These are really difficult days,” says Sindhu.
‘Sudha Appachi’ from ‘Santvana’ has passed away as audience’s favorite Appachi. Although Sindhu’s most significant and highly regarded role in her career is yet to come, ‘Sudha Appachi’ is also a turning point.
