Minister Kota Srinivasa Pujari: 76 cases of fake caste certificates have been reported in Bengaluru city and rural areas. 36 cases are pending in court. 21 cases are pending before the district level caste review committee. 19 cases are at trial stage. Some cases are registered and do not come to court even after more than four years. In the fake caste certificate case, 1,153 cases have been reported across the state. These include 706 government posts. Action will be taken against the wrongdoers.
