Activate this feature to protect your phone from hacking

by time news

Many smart phone users are afraid of being exposed to electronic attacks, especially if the owner of the phone occupies a sensitive position, so it is important to be aware of all available means to confront electronic hackers.

Apple iPhones provide a “lock mode” feature, a security feature that can protect your phone from advanced cyber attacks, but this feature disables and blocks many things, so the phone will not work in the usual way while this mode is on.

To activate the “lock mode”, the following steps should be taken:

Open Settings.

Click on “Privacy & Security.”

Choose “Lockdown Mode”.

Click “Turn On Lockdown Mode”.

Again, choose Turn On Lockdown Mode.

Click “Turn On & Restart”.

It is mentioned that to disable the shutdown mode, the same steps are followed.

It should be noted that activating the “lockdown mode” changes the way the phone works, and among these changes:

Messaging: Block most types of message attachments, except for some photos, videos, and audio. Some features, such as links and link previews, will not be available.

Browsing: Blocking some complex web technologies, which may cause some websites to load slow or not work properly.

Video calls: Block incoming FaceTime video calls, unless you’ve already called that person or contact.

Service Invitations: Block incoming invitations to Apple services.

Shared Photo Albums: Remove shared albums from the Photos app, and invites to the new shared album will be blocked.

Connecting Device and Accessories: You will not be able to connect your device to another USB accessory or computer, as the feature must be disabled before doing so.
