There are no plans for Modern Warfare III and Diablo IV on Game Pass this year.
The publisher Activision Blizzard has taken to Twitter to answer questions about the games that will enter Xbox Game Pass once the agreement between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard itself is closed (possibly this week). The company has issued the following statement:
“While we have no plans to include Modern Warfare III or Diablo IV in Game Pass this year, once the deal closes, we hope to start working with Xbox to bring our titles to more players around the world. And we anticipate that we will begin adding games to Game Pass sometime next year.”
It’s awesome to see anticipation building for Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® III. As we continue to work toward regulatory approval of the Microsoft deal, we’ve been getting some questions whether our upcoming and recently launched games will be available via Game Pass.

Although it’s no surprise that the company’s latest AAA titles aren’t coming to Xbox Game Pass right away, its older games will likely come to the service once the deal closes. We will continue to watch and expect new news.
