The death of the actor Adam Jandoubi, 23 years old and known for his appearances in the film ‘La paranza dei bambini’, about the young criminals of the Camorra – the Neapolitan mafia – and in several videos by the anonymous artist ‘Liberato’, has caused stupor in Italy, after spending more a week in a coma.
Jandoubi’s brother, whom the famous anti-mafia writer Roberto Saviano called “the face of the new Naples”, announced his death today on his social networks and hoped that “he had finished suffering”, after nine days in a coma fighting for his life in the San Leonardo hospital in Naples (south).
“Today my life changes because you, my brother, will no longer be by my side, but I know that you will look at me from above, always protecting me“Habib said.
The young man was found on New Year’s morning on a central street in Naples, in cardiorespiratory arrest and with facial injuries resulting from a possible motorcycle accident, local media reported.
However, the circumstances of the accident are still a mystery for researcherssince the toxicological tests carried out on the young man gave negative for alcohol and drugsaccording to the same sources.
Saviano, author of the novel ‘The Children’s Paranza’, which deals with the situation of young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods of Naples and their life in the camorra and in whose film adaptation Jandoubi gave life to the character of Aucelluzzolamented his death in an extensive message on his X account (formerly Twitter).
“Adam had the face of the new Naples: half Polish, half Tunisian and completely Neapolitan“he assured.
His family announced that the young actor decided, when he turned 18, donate your organs.
“You showed that you were a lion until the end, a true man with values and principles, by choosing at the age of 18 that on the day of your death you wanted to donate your organs and so you did,” said his brother Habib.
The decision to donate his organs will allow Jendoubi to continue “breathing in other lives”, Saviano assured.
