Thiruvananthapuram: Film actor and national volleyball star Migdad (76) passed away. He died on Wednesday afternoon while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the capital due to a stroke.

Migdad entered the acting scene with the movie ‘Aa Daniya’ released in 1982. Director CB Malayil’s first film, Mutharamkunn, made a name for himself with the role of ‘Rajanpilla’ as a filewan in P.O.

He acted in many movies and serials like Anakkorumma, Pennenkoudam Pot, Manna Pannavan Srinivasan, Heera Naa He, Saksal Sriman Chathunni, Mannar Mathai Speaking etc.

He was a postal and telegraph officer and retired in 2010. Residence was at Petta Aksharaveethi Mathutvilakam Lane (AVRA 12- X).

Burial at 11.30 am on Thursday morning at Juma Masjid, Kollam Polayath. Wife: Rafika Migdad. Children: Mira Migdad, Rammi Migdad. Nephews: Sunit Zia and Shibil Muhammad.
