A great loss to the American television world. Actor and comedian Bob Sagat, who played the father in the series “Growing Up Girls”, passed away last night (Monday) at the age of 65. According to his family and authorities, he was found dead in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida, after a performance. The cause of Seget’s death is unclear, but police who arrived at the scene found no evidence of drug or criminal use.

His family, as mentioned, confirmed his death and said: “He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, to perform in front of an audience and connect people from all parts of society with the help of laughter.”

After a show on Saturday, he posted an Instagram post in which he wrote that “I did not notice that I was performing tonight for two hours. I went back to doing comedy like I did when I was 26. I found my new voice and I love every moment.”

Sagitt became famous in the United States and around the world when he played Danny Tanner in the series “Grief Growing Up Girls” from 1995-1987. In the series he played a widower who is raising his three daughters along with his brother-in-law and best friend. He returned to the role 20 years later for the series “Grief Growing Girls – The Next Generation” (Fuller House).

Sagett also presented the video program “America’s Funniest Home Video. In 2005 he returned to the small screen, roughly, as a participant in the series” How I Met Your Mother, “where he played the father who tells his teenage children how he met their mother.
