American film actor Bruce Willis, 67, is retiring from his acting career after being diagnosed with aphasia that impairs cognitive abilities and can cause loss or impairment of language use, such as speaking and writing.
The news that rocked the entertainment world in the US and around the world was published on her Instagram page by Romer Willis, 33, the eldest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis.
“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce is experiencing some health issues and was recently diagnosed with aphasia, which affects his cognitive abilities. As a result, and out of great consideration, Bruce moves away from the career that is so important to him. ” Romer wrote, adding, “This is a really challenging time for our family and we so appreciate your continued love, compassion and support.
