Parents, acquaintances, but also hundreds of motorcyclists from all over the Czech Republic say goodbye in Skutč on Friday to eighteen-year-old Aneta P., who died on the last day of May on her way home from school.

Several hundred motorcyclists set off from Chrudim for a sleepy ride to Skutč. Along the way, the motorcyclists also stopped at the scene of the accident. The funeral itself took place in a real funeral hall from 11 am.

According to the president of the Chrudim motorcycle club, Michal Horkel approximately 1,200 motorcyclists arrived. The entire column measured an incredible five kilometers. According to ČTK, there may have been about 1,500 motorcyclists and their passengers.

A hundred bikers gathered at the funeral hall. In front of the entrance, they created a fence, where 18 motorbikes stand on each side of it. “As for the symbolism of why the bikes are here the way they are. There are eighteen and eighteen black motorbikes that symbolize Anetka’s age. Above is a silver motorcycle, which symbolizes Anetka herself,” added Horkel for Blesk.

She wanted to become an architect

Blesk also received the entire eulogy, which was recited by the former mayor of Skutč, Pavel Bezděk. “We are helpless and helpless and fully aware of how inadequate all words are to express what is in our minds and hearts,” described Bezděk in the full funeral hall. He described Anetka as an athlete with many hobbies and a lover of cats.

“After elementary school, her dream came true when she got to the Security Law Academy in Brno, where she studied for 1 year,” added Bezděk. However, after a year, the girl decided to change schools and went to a secondary vocational school in Pardubice. After college, she wanted to become an architect. “She recently worked on the ‘Tallest Skyscraper in Europe’ project. Her model, which she created with her classmate, was selected and advanced to the national final round of the international competition in Ostrava. She was overjoyed at this success.” described the success of the gifted Aneta.

Keep shining, our sunshine

At the end, Bezděk interpreted the last message of the grieving family. “We will all miss you, Anetka, but you will live in our hearts forever. We love you so much. Until we meet again in heaven, we will try to live to please you. Thank you, Anetka, for the beautiful memories. Keep shining for us, our sunshine.” After the eulogy, Ready Kirken’s song Zejtra mai started playing.

Motorcycle touring

At the end, a few more songs were played, such as Story of My Life by One Direction or Merchant of Rain by Kryštof. The bikers then started revving their engines towards the end, just as Aneta’s dad wanted her to hear the sound of the engines on her last journey.

Onslaught of riders

Both the event and the surrounding communities expect an enormous onslaught, which is why the state and municipal police supervised the event. “Parking places for motorcycles will be around the cemetery, if they put them elsewhere, the city police will not issue fines, we want the pieta to run smoothly, so that they can come and go safely,” Mayor Jaroslav Hetfleiš (Patriots) told ČTK already on Tuesday.

What happened?

Aneta (†18) died last Friday in a traffic accident near the village of Chrast in Chrudim on her way home from school. According to police, she should have crashed into an SUV from behind. The girl did not have time to stop and flew in the opposite direction, where she collided with the van. Even immediate resuscitation did not help.

According to ČTK, 18-year-old Aneta had a smaller motorcycle on which she rode 8,000 kilometers in two years, then she got a more powerful Yamaha. Her father, who is a motorcyclist, first wanted to practice riding with her. ČTK reported that on Wednesday the high school girl left a village near Skutče to go to school in Pardubice without his knowledge.

The young student wanted to be a biker, just like her dad. He arranged a funeral for her and soon after the accident published a call to see if other lovers of one-track machines would also come to the funeral.
