Oscar winner Jamie Foxx also has to go to court after allegations of abuse. An unknown woman filed a civil lawsuit in New York on Wednesday against the 55-year-old who is said to have sexually abused her during a chance meeting in a restaurant in the summer of 2015.
According to the indictment, Foxx penetrated the alleged victim with his finger after groping the woman’s breasts. The actor, who won an Oscar in 2005 for the biopic “Ray,” was said to have been heavily intoxicated during the attack.
As the plaintiff informed the court, she suffered serious injuries that had to be treated by a doctor. In addition, she is still mentally ill to this day. Under the so-called Adult Survivors Act, which suspended the statute of limitations for sexual assault in New York state until last Wednesday, Foxx’s alleged victim is now seeking undisclosed damages.
