Accordingly, today, Income Tax Day, an award ceremony was held by the Income Tax Department. An award was given to actor Rajinikanth for paying maximum income tax in Tamil Nadu. Puducherry Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan presented the award as a special guest at the function.
As actor Rajinikanth did not attend the event, his elder daughter Aishwarya received the award in his stead. Speaking on the occasion, Tamilisai said, “Due to Prime Minister Modi’s continuous efforts, the public has come forward to pay tax properly. Asking that everyone must pay taxes to the government, he said that if we do not pay taxes, we will lose our existence.
