The National Commission for Women (NCW) has sought an explanation from actor Siddharth for making defamatory remarks about badminton player Saina Nehwal.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has written to the Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra police asking them to take action against actor Siddharth. Also, notice has been sent to Siddharth. The notice said, “Your comment is aimed at insulting women and the dignity of women. The Commission strongly condemns such abusive and inappropriate comments against a woman. We voluntarily take up the matter for investigation.”
