This autumn, the jester’s concert program “Nerātnie joki und dzijems” will be visited by the audience all over Latvia, in which the popular actors Andris Bērziņš, Edgars Pujāts and Imants Strads have joined forces. The musical accompaniment will be provided by the band “ARMaestro” led by Anatoly Livcha.
As the artists promise, there will be no shortage of spicy jokes from life or conversations with the audience at the concerts, and the works of the popular and well-known Danish cartoonist Herluf Bidstrup (1912-1988) will also be discussed. On the other hand, for the musical part of the concert, the gentlemen have chosen the well-known “Song about bunnies” (from the movie “Brilliant Rock”, the heartfelt song “Oh, Trinīt, manu sardspuķīt”, which was once performed by the legendary actor Ävalds Walters, “Where is my plane from the group “Prāta vetra” » repertoire, songs from the works of the “Chikāgas piecīšu” – “Three old women” and “Kurpniekzeļli”; the song “Nauda” from the Brothers Laivinieku repertoire and other compositions will also be played.
“All life is full of humor, jokes and misunderstandings – be it related to doctors, women or money. The modern world is arranged in such a way that you can only survive by joking. I perceive life as a play in the theater, full of humor! The humor is that I’m still alive at all! And in general, I am NOT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. The fact that I smile and sing when I wake up has helped me survive. With a song through life! Smile, sing, joke and see this world as a big comedy, otherwise life will be the one that laughs at you. May wrinkles of laughter increase your beauty, and may humor restore health!” inviting to the concert performance, says actor Andris Bērziņš. On the other hand, Edgars Pujāts adds: «There is no meaning to words, which are just words. Words from the heart have meaning… Joy in the eyes, a smile on the lips, and let there be eternal spring in the heart…”
